Nature is the inspiration for my gourd art. I'm constantly looking for new ideas and animals are my favorite subject. I like doing portraits for that special pet of yours and I try to capture those little quirks of animals to provide the viewer with a feeling of the true personality of the animal. Many of my gourds take hundreds of hours to create due to the intricacy and detail.

I really can't remember when I started creating. I know have had my obsession with color since I was very young. Bright and bold were always better. I'm a firm believer that art and the making of it can be a therapeutic tool.
